People's Botanical Garden

We celebrated the 10th anniversary of Peoples Medicinal Tree Garden on 30th Dec 2012 by giving the form to a ‘People’s birth star botanic garden’ on MVIP muck dumped yard. The location is Chanthyam Pulinchode junction on the banks of MVIP left bank canal’s Aroor tunnel inlet nearby TREE’s head office. Birth star botanical garden is a wood of the country's 27 native Ayurvedic trees; most of them are under the threat of extinction. It is believed that caring for one's tree, animal, etc. will bring the person good fortune, A tree is connected to a birth star in such a way that its various parts are special for the common ailments of the persons having that birth star. Those trees and plants are also having outstanding qualities like higher oxygen generation, water storage capacity, air purification, etc. The Nalpamara trees -Athi, Ithi, Arayal, Peral- generate oxygen even at night time. TREE’S birth star botanical garden is set by developing 2 acres of the muck dumped yard into an ideal landscape suitable for the garden. 27birth star trees were placed according to its chronological order.
